About This Project

The client’s brief for this project was to work within a very limited budget to restore and modernise this tired, dilapidated period block of units. Each apartment had to be custom designed due to the existing structural and planning constraints.

This was an opportunity to introduce modern internal fixtures and fittings, and achieve a combination of simple colour schemes and interior design details which enhance the contrast between the existing heritage facade and the contemporary internal spaces. The challenge was to create spaces that epitomise the essence of St Kilda culture and appeal to the market.
